KEY LIME SQUEEZE
AUTHOR: Ronald W. Adams
Joe Banks is used to getting himself into trouble. It’s part of his job as a private detective. One day, he receives a phone call from a business acquaintance about an easy job. All he’d have to do is work undercover at a liquor distributor, observe the men who work there and figure out who has been stealing some of the stock. He takes the job, helps the business catch their thieves and becomes useful to the brothers who run the company, Paul and Tony Cantolino. The next favor they ask of him takes him from Buffalo to the Florida Keys, but what he doesn’t realize is that he’s not supposed to come back. I really enjoyed this story. In my opinion, this story has a Goodfellas feel to it, which is great because I enjoyed that movie as well. Being someone who tends to use sarcasm and dry humor, I was really able to identify with the main character, Joe Banks, very well. I think this character is my new favorite crime fighter, and I think Ronald W. Adams is my new favorite crime author. Job Well Done!
